So Much More than Coffee and Beer

We recently returned from a heavenly long weekend in Seattle to visit pals Bridget and Andy. We learned that the Pacific Northwest is so much more than beer and coffee, although those do feature prominently, and we were delighted to discover beer actually on offer at coffeeshops. Brilliant! This photo is taken in the Fremont neighborhood which, alongside its modest assertion of being the center of the universe, boasts a bronze statue of Lenin (that's Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov, not "I am the Walrus") surrounded by rifles and flames. Woohoo! Lefty mecca.
