If you get lazy on your blogging, all your pretty gold and red fall photos become dated. Ah well, I've been having too much fun with house guests to sit in front of the computer. The nomadic Jennifer Teasdale was here in late October, all the way from Thousand Oaks, California (by way of the environs of Raleigh, North Carolina which is also a gosh-darned long way). In keeping with Jen's wandering ways, we didn't let the grass grow under our feet in New Haven: we Metro-North-ed it down to Brooklyn for dinner and an Obama fundraiser (yay! He won! Thanks to our combined contributions of $14!) at the
ArtBreak Gallery. On Sunday, we took a stroll along Race Brook and reveled in crisp autumn air, golden leaves, and farmer's market apples.

In order to properly dispose of her leftover Halloween candy, Rebecca and I used it as fuel the following Sunday for a bike ride along Lake Watrous and West Rock Ridge:

No photos from this past weekend, as my father was in town and we were busy with fun stuff like replacing the toilet valve and winterizing the outside spigot, and I just didn't think a photo of the interior of Lowe's would add much. Thanks Pop! And happy fall.
